Imagine a world where kids’ glasses virtually just don’t break.
That’s Leanne Kernigan, optometrist and owner of Arnprior Optical.
Arnprior Optical has other stylish options for youth- imported from Italy and France, without quite the same degree of rugged durability of the Spanish lenses and frames.
Leanne says the days of kids getting tagged with the nickname, “four-eyes” are ancient history- but it’s important that junior’s visit to the optometrist be as pleasant as possible, as the formative occasion ought to be an exciting experience.
Kernigan says it is important for children to have their eyes tested from an early age, and visiting an optometrist is covered by OHIP, but she says family providers should be of one mind on the glasses selection and purchase so as not to leave the child feeling unsettled.
Arnprior Optical offers the shortest turn-around possible; in many cases the prescription can be prepared the same day as the examination.
Arnprior Optical is located at 106 John Street North at the intersection with Elgin Street, and is open Monday to Friday 9AM to 5:30PM and Saturdays, 10 to 3.
