Driving through Renfrew during the wee hours of the morning will have an extra wrinkle starting Sunday evening.
The town and Bonnechere Excavating Inc. tell myFM that they will be shutting down O’Brien Road from Gillan Road and Froats Street for several hours each night from Sunday, July 24 to Wednesday, July 27.
Pedestrians will not be affected, but a detour for cars along Whitton and Gillan Roads will be in effect between 6PM and 6AM each night.
The closure is part of a larger project to repave O’Brien Road, as well as to install a park-n-ride and realign the Algonquin Trail to sidewalks.
