A local school bus driver is facing stunt driving charges, according to the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP. Police say they clocked a school bus going 46 km/h over the posted limit on Micksburg Road in Laurentian Valley around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. When the OPP officer finally caught up to the bus, the driver was travelling 106 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The driver was charged with racing a motor vehicle. Children were also on the bus and alternative transportation was arranged for the students. The 54-year-old driver from Laurentian Valley had their license suspended for 30 days and the school bus was towed and impounded for 14 days.
