The Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre in Renfrew will be getting a new name in the near future: the myFM Centre.
That’s councillor Tom Sidney, speaking at Wednesday evening’s MAC Expansion open house. He mentioned that the new name had been in the making for a number of months.
Jon Pole, the owner of myFM, says the naming reinforces the company’s core values of serving the community.
Pole tells us having the entire complex named after the station cements myFM as part the Ottawa Valley.
Pole also confirmed the station will be moving in when the new complex is ready.
The expanded Ma-Te-Way park complex and myFM Centre are expected to be completed sometime near the end of this year.
