A letter from the Renfrew County District School Board is clarifying the situation regarding masking in its facilities.
While masking is no longer mandatory for students, there are situations which pose exceptions.
The board requires students to remain masked for 14 days upon arriving back to Canada after travelling; for
10 days from initial exposure if a household member is a COVID-19 positive case; for 10 days after the student’s last exposure date if they have been identified as a close contact; for 10 days total after symptom onset should they themselves test positive for COVID-19; and for 48 hours after getting a COVID-19 vaccine or flu shot.
A reminder that students should continue to do the COVID-19 School and Childcare Screener each day before coming to school.
Masks continue to be made available at all schools should students require one.
The RCDSB thanks the school community for its continued co-operation.
