The Town of Renfrew is applying for federal funding to help build a new play structure at Ma-te-Way Park.
Council received an update on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022.
The Town of Renfrew is applying for $151,750 through the Commemorate Canada –
Reopening Fund towards a total project cost of $249,750.
Recreation Director Kevin Hill told members of council the town is looking to work with Kal Tire to use recycled tires for a rubberized surface that would be underneath the new play structure.
This project is expected to engage Renfrew residents, young and old, to come together to develop a new play structure at Ma-Te-Way Park to celebrate the response and highlight our emergence from the pandemic.
