It seems the trucker convoy that will be passing through the Ottawa Valley this afternoon (January 28th, 2022) will be a few hours behind schedule.
On social media, the “freedom convoy 2022” group says they left Blind River, Ontario, which is about 500 kilometers away from Pembroke, around 1:00pm.
The convoy was expected to arrive in Pembroke by 4:30pm and in Arnprior by 6:00pm, but it looks like they will be a bit later.
Several road closures are in place across the Ottawa Valley in anticipation of the incoming trucker convoy.
Drivers are asked to avoid travelling down Highway 17 between Pembroke and Arnprior if possible or consider alternate routes.
