That some seventy residents in the Thomas Street South-William East area of Arnprior could soon have 350 to 400 new neighbours occupying 144 apartment units in three four-storey buildings on a former brownfields site off the Daniel Street thoroughfare is a cause for concern to the vast majority of them.
Nine resident presentations formed part of a Public Meeting on the topic during Town Council’s ZOOM session Monday.

Councillor Ted Strike did not participate in discussion as his property is close to the proposed development.
Chief Administrative Officer Robin Paquette says verbal and written comments will be summarized in a report for Council’s consideration, with a bylaw authorizing the plan to come back before elected representatives January 10th or 25th of next year.
