Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Pembroke, Petawawa, Deep River and Cobden areas.
Freezing rain is expected Wednesday with a wintery mix of snow and ice pellets beginning overnight or early in the morning.
Environment Canada says precipitation will change over to freezing rain late in the morning and several hours of freezing rain are possible before the precipitation changes to rain Wednesday afternoon or evening as temperatures rise above freezing.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Environment Canada’s special weather statement remains in effect for Barry’s Bay, Killaloe, Renfrew Arnprior, Calabogie and the surrounding area.
A brief band of snow, ice pellets along with a risk of freezing rain will move through the area Wednesday morning.
Precipitation will change over rain or freezing rain later in the morning or afternoon.
