The Town of Arnprior has launched a pilot project that allows restaurants to set up patios in parking stalls in front or to the side of their location where space allows. Although indoor dining is allowed, restaurants are still operating at a reduced capacity. Council approved the pilot project at the July 12th meeting which will allow feedback to be provided at the end of the patio season to gauge interest and concerns moving forward. Required parking spaces will be blocked off with safety as a priority; two on the south side of Elgin Street between John and Daniel Streets and four on John Street between Elgin and Rock Lane, two on the east side and two on the west side. The pedestrian path of travel will not be affected and will remain on the sidewalk between the sidewalk patios and the parking stall patios.
The barricades have been installed for the pilot parking stall patio project and pylons will be removed shortly once…
