The Renfrew OPP is welcoming a Constable Brandon Prophet to the Ottawa Valley.
Before he was hired by the OPP in August of 2020, Constable Prophet was an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) player for a number of years.
The new police officer in Renfrew started his hockey career with the Saginaw Spirit out of Michigan and was chosen to participate with Team Ontario for the Under 17 World Hockey Championship, hosted in Quebec in 2012.
Constable Prophet was traded to the Barrie Colts from 2014 to 2015 where he continued to play defence and finished his career with the Peterborough Petes, serving as Captain for his final year.
Constable Prophet went to Queen’s University where he studied Psychology and played with the Men’s Hockey Team for one year.
The latest addition to the Renfrew detachment of the OPP moved to the Ottawa Valley in February of 2021.
