A Canadian soldier will walk 28.5 hours non-stop to raise awareness around ALS.
Deane Gorsline specifically chose 28.5 hours, which breaks down to 1700 minutes, to mark the 1700 Canadians who died of ALS between the time the federal government approved a vital drug and the province’s approval for coverage.
He was diagnosed with ALS in 2018.
Gorsline begins his walk in Kanata, enroute to Parliament Hill, on Saturday at 7PM.
