With vaccinations ramping up quickly in Quebec, here’s what you should know about who is eligible.
As of now (May 10th at Noon), people ages 30 and over are in line for their first dose.
Starting Wednesday, the age limit falls to those over 25, and as of Friday, everyone 18 years of age and over can book a shot.
As of the effective dates notified persons on the list may go online to book their vaccination appointments- a video that explains how to do so is also available in Quebec sign language.
Go to the Québec.ca / vaccinCOVID web page, click on “make an appointment,” and you will be redirected to the Clic Sante page to register.
Your appointment confirmation will be emailed to you.
There are walk-in clinics offering the AstraZeneca shot to those over the age of 45- but these clinics are not available in the Abitibit-Temiscaminque region due to the variants of concern circulating in Northwestern Quebec.
Do not go to a walk-in vaccination clinic if you are in isolation or quarantine.
