When you attend the drive-through vaccination clinic at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior tomorrow, you visit is being guided by Artificial Intelligence.
Acting Commander with the Renfrew County Paramedics, Jeff Dodge, says the idea stems from the mobile swabbing clinics initiated in the RCDHU catchment area last year, combined with the knowledge of simulation researchers at York University.
Dodge says the York researchers have been hands-on in adapting the software to the Valley’s needs.
He says the model combines maximum efficiency with personal convenience.
Dodge say the estimate is that Thursday’s clinic will be able to dispatch 512 of the pre-booked appointments.
