Heavy snowfall is making for poor driving conditions in Renfrew County.
Ontario 511 is reporting Highway 17 from the end of the 417 to past Chalk River is snow covered with fair visibility. Heading towards Ottawa the 417 becomes partly snow covered.
Highway 41 from Pembroke to Eganville is snow covered and the section of Highway 41 connecting to Highway 132 is also snow covered.
Highway 132 is snow covered from Renfrew to the 41 turnoff and Highway 60 from Renfrew to Killaloe is snow covered.
Drivers should allow extra time to reach their destination. If visibility is reduced while on the roads, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Environment Canada says snow will continue until late this evening with another 2 to 4 cm expected.
