Calabogie Peaks is opening for the season.
Shortly after the news was announced that local businesses could reopen, Calabogie Peaks let their social media followers know they would be opening in-time for the weekend.
The ski-resort is expected to reopen on Thursday (February 11th, 2021).
The local ski resort was forced to lay off 100 staff members days before Christmas when the start of the ski/snowboard season in Ontario was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the provincial restrictions. At the time, Chief Operating Officer at Calabogie Peaks Jim Hemlin, told myFM they make one third of their revenue over the Christmas holidays.
