Snowmobile riders are reminded to stay off closed trails.
As of this afternoon (January 19th, 2021), most snowmobile trails in Renfrew County are closed.
The Timberline Snowmobile Club has posted on social media asking riders to stay off closed trails. The local snowmobile club says at this point trails are still closed due to low amounts of snow, safety hazards and the possibility of jeopardizing the hard work operators have put in so far.
The Opeongo Snowbirds Snowmobile Club says despite the recent snowfall, more is needed to open up local trails.
The Calabogie & District Snowmobile Club brought in snow to help build the ramp onto the rail bed.
About 2-weeks ago (January 2nd, 2021), the North Renfrew Snowmobile Association said a “trail closed” was taken down.
A full map showing what trails are open and closed can be found online here.
Out doing some brush clearing on the 155 yesterday, the recent snowfall is great, but we need more open up Club trails!

A reminder that, as shown on the OFSC ITG, all NRSA trails remain closed at this time while volunteers work hard to pack…
