UPDATE: THE SUSPICIOUS PERSON HAS BEEN LOCATED AND THERE ARE NO SAFETY CONCERNS FOR THE PUBLIC. THE INVESTIGATION IS NOW CLOSED.
The OPP is looking for information about a suspicious person in Arnprior.
Police say they responded to a call last night (November 4th shortly before 8pm), at the trail connecting AJ Charbonneau Public School and Cranston Street.
Officers say a youth was walking northbound along the trail when they observed a person walking slowly toward them.
The suspect was described as wearing an all-black track suit and wearing a dark coloured “hacker” mask with neon blue accents.
The OPP says when the person started walking more quickly towards the youth, they turned around and ran away.
The suspicious person was said to be carrying a small bat or knife-like object in their right hand.
