Police are on scene investigating a fatal accident just west of Cobden. Upper Ottawa Valley OPP and Renfrew County paramedics were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 6:30 this morning. The pedestrian was pronounced dead and the driver of the vehicle was uninjured. No names have been released, and highway 17 between Turcotte and Mountain Roads was closed until 3:30PM Thursday.
