Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament (MP) Cheryl Gallant is endorsing Peter MacKay as the leader of the Conservative Party and as the next Prime Minister of Canada.
Gallant says she has worked with MacKay for almost 20-years and adds he has experience and a plan to get Canada working again.
Gallant says as the longest serving elected Member of the Conservative Caucus, it is her pleasure to endorse MacKay.
MacKay has served as Minister of Justice and Attorney General, the Minister of National Defence, and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During his tenure as Defence Minister, MacKay oversaw the delivery of the Chinook Helicopters to Garrison Petawawa. Gallant says he also became a friend to many Conservatives in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
The local MP says democracy is under threat in Canada by a government that divides people for the sake of power. She adds once the pandemic crisis is over, Canada will need a huge dose of small government. Gallant says MacKay is the right person at this time to build a future for our children we can all be proud of.
As the longest serving elected Member of the Conservative Caucus, it is my distinct pleasure to endorse the Hon. Peter…
