The Renfrew County and District Health Unit says one of the 18 COVID-19 cases is our area is under investigation. The numbers released yesterday (May 12th) at noon show 17 confirmed cases and one that remains under investigation. The new case that is currently under investigation is being reported in the Arnprior area. That brings the total number of cases across Renfrew County and District in the Renfrew and Arnprior area to 12 (including the one under investigation).
Numbers released from the health unit today (May 13th) show an increase in 62 tests over the past 24 hours. The Renfrew County and District Health Unit has also confirmed a 13th individual is now listed as recovered.
The local health unit has listed all active cases as at home isolating. Bonnechere Manor long-term care home in Renfrew is also listed in an active outbreak status after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.
Roughly 90% of the tests completed in Renfrew County and District have been done in long-term care.
