ATV season can officially start with the opening of trails across the county. The Renfrew County ATV Club made the decision to open trails immediately. With trails now being accessible the club has put some guidelines in place for riders.
Ride in your closest trail system, to avoid excessive travel and minimize the impact of COVID-19.
Respect provincial guidelines for social distancing and group restrictions.
Be self-sufficient: Access to amenities may continue to be severely limited.
Be aware of trail conditions and report any hazards when you see them.
Ride responsibly and refrain from highly technical trails to reduce further impact on emergency services.
Some trail are under some regular spring maintenance and a select few will remain closed due to safety hazards and to respect landowner requests. You can keep up to date with trail statues by visiting map.renfrewcountyatv.ca. Or using the app QuadOn for province wide trail status.
The club also says they rely heavily on the volunteer efforts of riders and members of the community. Riders who would like to help support the Trails Teams spring maintenance and signage can contact trails@renfrewcountyatv.ca.
