The Renfrew County District School Board is encouraging students and staff to ensure everyone is safe from illness, especially with the Coronavirus scare. The school board says they are in constant contact with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit as well as other health agencies as part of their commitment to keeping up-to-date with the situation. At this point, there have been no cases of the virus reported in the county and the risk of acquiring the illness remains low. The Public Health Agency of Canada is not recommending the closure of schools. All staff, students, and visitors to schools should continue to take proactive measures as part of regular good hygiene practice. The school board says they will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide staff and families with updates as they receive new information.
