Arnprior’s construction boom is going great guns, as Town Council gives consideration to a couple of developments both near, and on the community’s eastern extremity.
Planner and Interim Chief Administrative Officer Robin Paquette says one developer is planning to build multiple rental apartment units.
The land parcel was zoned industrial, based on former priorities, but the Town is considering a residential exception designation.
The 4th Avenue-McNab Street proposal will go to a public meeting March 9th where residents can comment.
Nudging the City of Ottawa’s territorial limits on Madawaska Boulevard, the land has been cleared, and the developer wants to do grading and blasting to level it out in preparation for construction.
Paquette says council gave their approval on Monday (February 10th).
