The Renfrew Food Bank is combining the time-honoured Advent Calendar idea with a fun way to collect food donations for the Holiday Season.
Twenty-four Days of donations is in progress, and on each day, the calendar suggests a different item to donate to the food bank to help support families in need.
Tuesday was the first day, and the item to purchase or put aside was Kraft Dinner.
Yesterday’s donation item was Soup, and today it’s Cookies.
There are twenty-four items to collect in all, and your donation box will be finished by December 5th.
On December 6th, drop off your donation box at the Food Bank in the Renfrew Armoury from 3-6PM, or anytime that day at the Renfrew Fire Hall.
