The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is investigating several acts of mischief and break-ins to businesses along Pembroke Street West. Police say in the early morning hours of November 2nd several outdoor monuments were toppled, various buildings were broken into and vehicles along with security cameras were targeted. The OPP says four businesses have been victimized and the damage is estimated to be worth thousands of dollars.
With assistance from the public, local police have identified several of the individuals involved. The investigation is ongoing with support of the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services and Community Street Crime Unit.
A video of the vandalism at the Veterans Enterprises building at 1332 Pembroke Street West in Laurentian Valley was posted on social media saying computers and valuables had been stolen.
