The municipalities of Arnprior, McNab-Braeside and Renfrew are joining together to find a more permanent recycling solution.
Deanna Nicholson, Environmental Engineering Officer with the Town of Arnprior says there will be discussions at all three councils.
All three had gone with an interim solution involving Topps Environmental solutions of Carleton Place following the closure of Beaumin Waste Management last June.
With the Pembroke site now selected as the destination, how to get recyclables to the OVWRC will be a matter of common tender by Renfrew, McNab-Braeside and Arnprior.
If things aren’t in place by year’s end, the temporary Topps contract can be extended month-to-month after January.
