Now you won’t have to second-guess whether to put your blue bin out or not.
As a result of the closure of Beaumen Waste Management June 23rd, some eastern Renfrew County communities are moving to a weekly recycling schedule with a new temporary provider.
The Town of Arnprior and the Township of McNab-Braeside have both ratified interim recycling arrangements with Topps Environmental Solutions.
McNab-Braeside did so at a Special Meeting of Council yesterday afternoon, and Arnprior ratified the arrangement at it regular Council Session last night.
The Town of Renfrew will deal with a similar proposal involving Topps Environmental Solutions at tonight’s municipal meeting.
Arnprior Treasurer Jennifer Morawiec says given the urgency forced upon Council by the sudden closure of Beamen, the deal was single-sourced to Topps, and will be for a six-month timeframe.
Topps already collects garbage for all three.
