The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP is expressing concern after guns were stolen in the Town of Petawawa. In the first instance, three storage units at a storage facility on Petawawa Boulevard were entered during the overnight hours between June 3 and 4th.   Reported stolen are a Remington 700 Bolt Action Rifle with Leupold Scope, grey Camo Pattern in colour; a Mosin Nagant 7.62 X 54 Bolt Action Rifle, light brown stock, and a CIL 12 Gauge Shotgun, Break action, single shot with a camo sling. Also taken were power tools, golf clubs and a generator. The police reports also says firearms were taken from a home on Petawawa Boulevard sometime between June 9th and June 11th. The residence was ransacked and seven firearms removed. Stolen were a 12 gauge shotgun, pump action; a 12 gauge shotgun, break open; a 22 calibre/16 Gauge over/under, break open; a 22 calibre Marlin lever action rifle; a 308 calibre Savage lever action rifle, and two 30-30 Winchester lever action rifles.
