Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is among those having responded to EMS Chief Mike Nolan’s request for protective medical supplies for Renfrew County Paramedics.
Sylvain Belanger, Director-General of LAC’s Physical Operations and Preservations Department say the link is that the Archives has a big collections storage facility in Renfrew.
He says LAC has the materials on hand for collections preservation.
Belanger says when he received Renfrew County Paramedic Chief Mike Nolan’s tweet about the need for medical supplies, staff put together a package and he and his thirteen year-old personally delivered it the next day.
The donation included 15 protective suits, 1000 masks and 1000 pair of gloves.
Belanger says if more protective gear becomes available, he’ll make arrangements to pass it along.
