Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne is visiting Arnprior this morning (Wednesday). An announcement on Arnprior Regional Health's Facebook page advises Wynne will be a special guest at the Summer Social at the Grove Nursing Home, at 9am this morning.

A little bird at the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre is garnering national attention once again. The Bullock's Oriole that flew into Pakenham in 2015 is finally going home to BC. These birds are found in BC and Alberta, but their main range is in the US.

Bonnechere Valley Township is having a bit of a problem with vandals. Mayor Jennifer Murphy says that the household hazardous waste depot has had a few break-ins in the last year, but that a recent one seemed personal.

PADDLE FOR CHEO RAISES $10,000

CHEO is getting a $10 000 boost thanks to the introduction to a new event at a recent fundraiser. The Upper Ottawa River Race and Paddle Festival says the first ever Paddle for CHEO was a huge success, with 50 paddlers in the water.
